German Parliament and European elections represent opportunities for long-term changes in consumer policy and are thus crucial events for the Federation of German Consumer Organisations (vzbv). During these elections, candidates and political parties should focus even more on consumer interests than usual. After all, people-centred policies help to strengthen democracy.
To support candidates and political parties in this task, vzbv identifies key consumer issues in the run up to elections and suggests specific solutions that policy-makers can implement during the subsequent legislative period.
